History

This video lesson is designed for 6-9-year-old children. It guides us through the importance of history in the child’s life and associated activities.

History is the backbone of elementary education which talks about humans and humanity. It connects every subject. The struggles, inventions, discoveries, and contributions of people

Studying history at an elementary level involves learning about the past. Using the present as the starting point, it reviews and analyzes what has come before.

Children acquire immense knowledge about the world, from its geographical features, different cultures, and basic human needs (such as food, shelter, clothing, and transportation). It shows the progress from the origin of the universe and life, chronologically to writing and the explosion of knowledge.

Watch the video to know more about the history and how it is dealt with in the Elementary Montessori environment. Let the child practice few activities (as shown in the video) to understand the passage of time and about the important people who made an impact on human lives.
