岩合光昭, IwagōMitsuaki, (nacido el 27 de noviembre de 1950 en Tokio) es un destacadofotógrafo y cineasta de naturaleza. Después de graduarse de la Universidad de Hosei, Iwago se fuecomoasistente de su padre a las Islas Galápagos, dondedecidióconvertirse en fotógrafo. Su trabajo Cartas del Mar (海からの手紙, Umikara no tegami) ganó el premio Kimura Ihei en 1979. Tambiénes el primer fotógrafojaponéscuyotrabajo ha aparecido dos veces en la portada de National Geographic (mayo de 1986 y diciembre de 1994).

- La filosofía Montessori aconsejautilizarlibrosdonde las imágenes o dibujos se asemejen a la realidad.
3. Simplicidad en el diseño. Al igualque con losmaterialesutilizados para las actividades de aprendizaje, se sugierequeloslibrosmantenganesasencillez, se consideraque el niño no necesitaestarsobreestimulado para poderdisfrutar de un libro.
4. Cuentosqueayuden a losniños a desarrollar el vocabulario y al mismotiempo a cultivar valorescomo el respeto, la amabilidad, la generosidad, la responsabilidad, la empatía, etc.

The Author
岩合光昭, IwagōMitsuaki, born November 27, 1950 in Tokyo) is a prominent Japanese wildlife photographer and filmmaker. After graduating from Hosei University, Iwago went as his father’s assistant to the Galápagos Islands, where he decided to become a photographer. His work Letters from the Sea (海からの手紙, Umikara no tegami) won the Kimura Ihei Award in 1979. He is also the first Japanese photographer whose work has twice appeared on the cover of National Geographic (May 1986 and December 1994)
Brief Description of the Book
Many books help us teach children to count to 10, but this book, in particular, allows the child to develop in many other aspects. The telling photos capture moments when all pandas seem to agree to do the same activity. By reading this book, children have the opportunity to observe and, in some basic way, understand the social behavior of pandas and how it relates to that of children. This allows them to awaken empathy and kindness toward animals.
How can we identify the books that are appropriated for children according to the Montessori method?
- Non-fiction books. Since children under 6 years old still cannot differentiate reality from fantasy, the Montessori philosophy recommends that young children’s storybooks do not include fantasy.
2. Montessori philosophy advises using books where pictures or drawings resemble reality.
3. Simplicity in design. As with the materials used for learning activities, it is suggested that the books keep that simplicity, it is considered that the child does not need to be over-stimulated to be able to enjoy a book.
4. Stories that help the children to develop vocabulary and at the same time cultivate values such as respect, kindness, generosity, responsibility, empathy, etc.
