Support and Education: Session 13

In continuation to ‘Support and Education for Parents – Session 12’, this session focuses on the importance of social connection and support for one’s well-being.

The session talks about innate social skills and the importance of a social connection for our emotional health. We must maintain a distance from our friends and family when everyone is quarantined at home during the pandemic. The absence of any social connection with our close ones comes with its own set of challenges.

As states have started to lift the stay-at-home orders, the schools and universities plan to reopen and welcome the children back. This brings a sense of excitement and anxiousness for both parents and children as they try to get their lives back to normal.

The video lesson guides the parents on understanding the child’s behavior and how they feel about the reopening of schools after the pandemic. Encourage the child to talk and discuss the emotions and help them understand their feelings better.
