Identifying Geometric Solids the Montessori Way

The Montessori method of education has a sensorial element as part of the curriculum, which is quite unique to it. This area focuses on developing the 5 senses of a child: seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling.

The Geometric Solids are a key part of the sensorial curriculum, allowing children to understand the world around them with the help of these 3D tangible shapes.

In this video we have shown 3 geometric solids, namely:
-Sphere
-Cube
-Triangular pyramid

These Geometric Solids are typically wooden shapes that are colored in a bright blue.
Children become aware of the shapes and how they form objects around us in everyday life by working on these objects.

This video starts by introducing the aforementioned shapes one by one. We encourage you to sit with your child and do this activity with them to build their overall sensory abilities of your child.
