Distributive Law

The Distributive Law of multiplication states that when a number is multiplied by a group of numbers added together, the result is the same as multiplying them separately.

For instance, 3 × (2 + 4) is equivalent to (3 × 2) + (3 × 4) which is also equivalent to 3 × 6.

This video lesson helps the child learn the law using beads. Allow your to child explore this practical method for an easy understanding of the various aspects of multiplication.
