- Removable tape to create area marking as shown in the video.
How to Introduce Sweeping to the Child?
- As shown in the video, tape the area and add waste (confetti or any loose material) inside it. Tell the child “Today! we’re going to sweep the floor.”
- Hold the child-sized broom and show them to gather the waste. Ask them to watch while sweeping.
- Show them how to collect the waste in the dustpan using the broom.
- Create child interest by asking questions like “Did I miss any dust?” or “Is the area clean?”
- Show them to throw the collected waste into the bucket/dustbin.
- Invite the child to repeat the activity. You can also ask the child to sweep a small portion of their room.
