Subject and Predicate

This sentence analysis: subject and predicate worksheet is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years to decode the sentence into subject and predicate.

This worksheet is 1st in the series when analyzing sentences and decoding them.

Generally, a sentence is divided into two parts: a subject and a predicate.

  • The subject is what the sentence is about
  • The predicate tells us what the subject is or does. In other words, it is the part of the sentence that contains a verb and does not contain a subject.
